L’agevolazione può essere richiesta direttamente al venditore, al momento dell’acquisto, previa presentazione dell’autocertificazione per l’Iva agevolata al 4% per persone con disabilità. Secondo il DM del 7 aprile 2021 (che determina le condizioni e le modalità dell’applicazione dell’agevolazione) l’aliquota ridotta può essere applicata al momento dell’acquisto presentando una copia del certificato che attesta la presenza dei requisiti sanitari necessari per richiederla.

Il documento, rilasciato dall’azienda sanitaria locale competente o dalla commissione medica integrata, è indispensabile per ottenere lo sconto immediato in fattura (con lo storno dell’Iva in eccesso sul prezzo). 

Per alcune tipologie di beni (come prodotti informatici e protesi) il venditore può richiedere anche una copia del certificato medico. Inoltre, per completare l’acquisto, e ricevere così il beneficio fiscale, serve anche la fotocopia della carta d’identità (in corso di validità) di chi ne fa richiesta e “scarica” l’operazione.
